About the Team

David Schneider is a data scientist, storyteller, activist, teacher, and founder of Schneider Analytics, which builds digital tools for the public good. Prior to starting his own business, he worked for over twenty years as a career civil servant with the Federal Transit Administration. David grew up in Washington DC and lives near the Silver Spring Metro station.

Valerie Berton has worked in the communications field for more than three decades, most recently directing a public affairs team at the Federal Transit Administration. Now she provides writing, editing and marketing support to organizations to help develop messages and stories that resonate, including promoting the many benefits of taking transit. She lives in Silver Spring, MD, less than two miles from the Metro station and 600 yards from a bus stop.
